Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m. on Friday June 15, 2012 at the St Mathias Church 215 West Eighth Street. The Rev. Jason Crosen will officiate. The Ralph J. Wittich Riley Frees is in charge of arrangements. Wesley was born on Deceber 6, 1919 in Drury Township Illinois the son of Alva and Mary Hayes Howard.he was one of six children. He was united in marriage to Edith Fitzgerald on March 6, 1937 at the St Mary's Parish Rectory in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2010. They lived and raised their children on a small farm north of Muscatine where they enjoyd over 72 years together. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War 11. During his time in the sevice he wored with radios. Upon returning home he wored for Reynolds Electric Service of Muscatine, Crows Radio Repair of .uscatine and Garrett's TV of uscatine, acquiring the nae "Muscatine TV Repairman" He later was asked by Eastern Iwa Light and Power (REC) to develop and establish a TV and Appliance departent for them. He worked there until his retirment. His favorite pastime was woodworking from which the faily fully benefited. In his later years he enjoyed nature. He would sit in his chair at home fr hours and look out his window to watch the deer and especially the birds. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Mary Lou Howell and husband Jerry, two sons, Robert Howard and wife Nancy and William Howard and wife Rose all of Muscatine. a daughter in law Jewel Howard Wallerick of West Libert, 19 grandchildren, 39 great granchildren,and three great great grandchildren, one sister, Laura Lessman of Rock Island, and one brother Kenneth Howard of Lone Tree. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife one son, Thomas, one granddaughter, Cathy, one great granddaughter, Elizabeth, one sister, Florence, and two brothers, Omer an Lorence Howard.
