Day, 85, died Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mildred Piveral in Maryville, Mo. where he had been vacationing. Mr. Day lived on RR 2, Cherokee, all his married life. He was born Nov. 30, 1889, Marcus. He married Eva Stewart on Sept. 25, 1912, at Quimby. He had farmed all his life. Mr. Day was a member of the Quimby United Methodist Church. In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his wife; a son, Forrest, Salina, Kan.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and sisters, Mrs. Vera Foster, Clearwater, Fla., and Mrs. Alma Foster, Miami, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marvin in 1943; two brothers, and one sister. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Quimby United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wallace Parmer officiating. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery. A family prayer service will be held at 1:15 p.m. at the church. The Boothby Funeral Home, Cherokee, is in charge of arrangements. -
