Description	:	WETMORE -- Wesley W. "Bingo" Cavin, 82, Wetmore, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at a Sabetha hospital. Mr. Cavin farmed in the Sabetha and Morrill communities for years before retiring and moving to Wetmore in 1975. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 175th Amphibious Tractor Battalion. He was born July 8, 1919, in Monmouth, the son of Newton Oliver and Maggie Mischler Cavin. Survivors also include four sons, Robert Cavin and Gerald Cavin, both of Hiawatha, Bill Cavin, Fairfield, Ohio, and Allen Cavin, Highland; a daughter, Mary Olson, Hiawatha; five sisters, Marie Wilson, Columbus, Betty Williams, Girard, Maudy Cashman, Hutchinson, Pauline Smith, Arma, and Irene Cashman, Cawker City; a brother, Bob Cavin, Arma; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Cavin was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Cavin and James Wesley Cavin, and a daughter, Maxine Cavin. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery.
