Wilbur Ernest Spatz was born June 23, 1923 to Henry and Sedona Spatz on their farm south of Plainview. He entered his heavenly home on August 8, 2012 at the Stark Valley Lutheran Church. Wilber reveived his elementry education at District #65 and District #9 country school near his home and graduated from Plainview High School in 1940. Wilbur Ernest Spatz was born June 23, 1923 to Henry and Sedona Spatz on their farm south of Plainview. He entered his heavenly home on August 8, 2012 at the Stark Valley Lutheran Church. Wilber reveived his elementry education at District #65 and District #9 country school near his home and graduated from Plainview High School in 1940. Wilbur and his twin brother Wendell, along with their father Henry, milked cows and farmed south of Palinview. Wilber enjoyed going to dances at Kings Ballroom in Norfolk and it was there he met the love of his life, Caryl Kuhlman. Wilbur and Caryl were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1954 at the First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. They were blessed with a son Johnathan and a daughter Julie. In 1958 they purchased farm land and a home north of Plainview where Colleen and Richard were born. Wilbre enjoyed farming, family vacations, Nebraska football games, playing cards and having coffee out to Mary's Cafe. But most important to him was his faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ. He looked forward to hearing God's Word and worshipping Him, and was tankful for all Jesus had done for him. Wilber was preceeded in death by his wife, Caryl, son Johnathan, daughter Julie, his parents, brothers Wendell and Raymond and infant twin sisters. Survivors include daughter Collen and Mark Brookhouser of Brunswick and their children Andrea Hayes and fiance Ben Small, Ashley Brookhauser, Alex, and Mary Brookhouser; son Richard and Elizabeth Spatz and their sons John and Robert; daughter-in-law Leigh Ann Spatz of Las Vegas, NV, granddaughter Ashton Spatz of Los Angeles, CA; sister-in-law Connie Spatz, brothers-in-law Delbert Kuhlman and Paul and Dolors Kuhlman, nieces and nephews, many friends and relatives.
