He attended schools in Otter Creek Township, graduating from Norwood High School after which he attended Iowa State University at Ames. He married Geverna Peterson of Ames on July 24, 1933 and they made their home in Lucas County where they were engaged in farming. Besides his wife, Geverna, he is survived by two sons, John C. and Richard E. Pfrimmer; a daughter-in-law, Irene; and three grandchildren, Kim Ellen, Cindy, and Shelli Pfrimmer all of Des Moines. He is, also, survived by five sisters and two brothers, other relatives, and a host of friends. Services were conducted on Monday, September 23, 1968 at 1:30 p.m. from the Norwood Church with the Rev. L. W. Mendenhall officiating. Interment was in the Norwood Cemetery. Serving as Pall-bearers were: Fred Curtis, Earl Pettinger, Roy Querry, Maurice Skinner, Leland Clore, and Gary Smith. Arrangements were made by the Miley and Brueggemann Funeral Home of Chariton.
