He was born on February 6, 1953 in Logansport, IN to Wilbur Gale Wright Sr and Leona (McCall) Wright. He was born on February 6, 1953 in Logansport, IN to Wilbur Gale Wright Sr and Leona (McCall) Wright. On November 14, 1969 at the United Methodist Church in Monticello, IN, he married Susan "Susie" Heiny; she survives. Wilbur grew up in the Idaville, IN area and was a 1971 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He had worked for NIPSCO (Northern Indiana Public Service Company) for over 40 years. Wilbur had farmed with his dad and brother for several years in Idaville. He was very instrumental in building Voight Park Girls Softball diamonds in Monticello and had coached his daughter's sports teams along with his son. Wilbur was a member of the Issac Walton Gun Club in Logansport. He loved and enjoyed mowing his yard and all of his neighbor's yards with his John Deere mower. Wilbur was an avid fan of Indiana University Basketball and John Force Racing. The most important thing in Wilbur's life was his family that he loved with all his heart and soul. He is now at rest and taking care of the four infant children that he and Susie lost. Wilbur is survived by his wife; mother; three children; six grandchildren; two brothers; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; four infant children - Rebeca Marie Wright, Wilbur Gale Wright III, Jeffery Eugene Wright and Jason Michael Wright; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Carolyn (Carson) Heiny. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home. Rick Roller will officiate. Burial will take place in IOOF Riverview Cemetery.
