Description	:	OBITUARY- Wilbur Gordon Voas, age 85, of Adams, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Austin Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1916, at Morristown, S.D. to Areon and Mabel (Campbell) Voas. He graduated from the Morristown High School in 1934 and served in the United States Army during World War II. On March 3, 1953, he married Martha J. Verdoorn at Minburn, Iowa where they farmed until moving to the Adams area in 1955. He farmed in the Adams area until retiring in 1992 when they moved to Rose Creek. He was born July 12, 1916, at Morristown, S.D. to Areon and Mabel (Campbell) Voas. He graduated from the Morristown High School in 1934 and served in the United States Army during World War II. On March 3, 1953, he married Martha J. Verdoorn at Minburn, Iowa where they farmed until moving to the Adams area in 1955. He farmed in the Adams area until retiring in 1992 when they moved to Rose Creek. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of Crane Community Chapel and Adams Post #146 American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Martha Voas, Adams; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Pat Verdoorn, Spencer, Iowa; Elsie Verdoorn, Rochester; nieces and nephews. Visitation: Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at the church for one hour before the service. Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Randy Petersen officiating. Organist will be Kathy Crosby. Interment: Grandview Cemetery, Austin, with Adams Post #146 American Legion in charge of military rites. Funeral Home: Clasen-Jordan Mortuary, Austin.
