Description	:	MONTICELLO - Wilbur Paul Laxton, 74, died at 2:45 PM Monday, July 19 1993, in Lafayette Home Hospital, where he had been a patient two weeks following two months of failing health. Born Feb. 15, 1919, at West Point, he was a 1937 graduate of Jefferson High School. He was married to Frances E. Cohee on Aug. 31, 1940, in Lafayette, and she survives. He was a member of First Christian Church, Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge 492, American Legion Post 81 of Monticello, and Moose Lodge 906, also of Monticello. He moved to Monticello in 1972. Surviving with his wife are a son, Dennis Dale Laxton of Kingston, WA; a sister, Mrs. Della Bates of Palmetto, FL; and two grandchildren, Shelley and Steve Stockton of Lafayette.
