Mrs. Oatley was born Sep. 6, 1911, the daughter of Levi and Catherine Shrock. She lived in Kokomo until 1949, upon moving to Winona Lake. Mrs. Oatley was born Sep. 6, 1911, the daughter of Levi and Catherine Shrock. She lived in Kokomo until 1949, upon moving to Winona Lake. Surviving with the husband, are three sons, Maurice Oatley of Fort Wayne, David Oatley of Chicago and Dennis at home; two sisters, Miss Nellie Shrock, 922 N Morrison St., and Mrs. Chester Humphries of Chicago; and one brother Albert Shrock, 1502 W Havens St. One brother preceded her in death, Edward A. Shrock. Her twin brother and two other brothers died in infancy. Mrs. Oatley was known as the Winona Poet, having had a number of poems published in newspapers and magazines. She was also a talented musician and artist. She was a member of the Moody Church of Chicago. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday at the Kokomo Zion United Methodist Church northeast of Kokomo on Touby Pike. Burial will follow in Kokomo Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
