Description	:	Wiley H. Adams, 76, of 444 Logan St., died Wednesday, July 21, 1993 at Devonshire Acres. Visitation and viewing began this morning, July 23, at Chaney Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 am. Saturday at Chaney-Walters Funer al Home. Father Terence Keefe will officiate. Graveside services will be by the Sterling VFW Post No. 3541 at Riverside Cemetery. McIntosh Adams in Osmond, Neb. He moved from Nebraska to Logan County at an early age and attended schools in Logan County. He entered the U.S. Air Force in February 1942 and was discharged in December 1945. He was a Mas ter Sergeant and served in the European-African Middle Eastern The ater and Asiatic-Pacific Theater wars. On April 12, 1945 he married Providence "Susie" DiGiovani in Tunis, Tunisia. He then moved to Sterling in 1945. He bought the Blue Bird Texaco in 1948, where he worked until 1953. After quitting Texaco he began work in the T.V. and appliance business in downtown Sterling, where he worked until his retirement in 1987. After he retired his son Phil Adams purchased the business. He was a member of the Methodist Faith, the American Legion Post No. 20 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3541. He is survived by his wife Susie Adams of Sterling; son Phillip and wife Diana Adams of Sterling; daughter Jeannette and George Zeilinger of Ogallala, Neb.; Sisters Bella Martin of Sterling, Ethel Carver of Englewood, Calif., Irene Kautz of Fort Morgan, and Margie Parker of Bridgeport, Neb., and five grandchildren.
