During a series of meetings at the Christian church in New Richmond last fall, he united with the church, since which time he had been trying to live a consistent Christian life. He said he was not afraid to die. A short time before he died he called his family around him and kissed each one and bid them goodbye. To his wife he said, "It won't be long until you will join me, and then we will part no more forever. Home, sweet home." He leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters, besides numerous other relatives to mourn his loss. He was forty-five years old about a week before he died. A very large concourse of people followed the remains to their last resting place in the New Richmond cemetery last Sunday.
