Description	:	Obituary from the Billings Gazette: Wiley Lawrence Farmer, 82, of Fort Smith, died Wednesday in the Big Horn County Memorial Hospital. He was born May 4, 1891, in Belt, Montana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Farmer, Sr., and was reared in the area. On November 28, 1912, he married Margaret Troutman there. He was born May 4, 1891, in Belt, Montana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Farmer, Sr., and was reared in the area. On November 28, 1912, he married Margaret Troutman there. The couple remained in Belt until moving in 1924 to Helena where Mr. Farmer was a smelter worker. In 1935, he moved to Fort Peck, where he lived until moving to Fort Smith in 1961. Mr. Farmer was a member of the Fort Peck Community Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, a past master of the North Star Masonic Lodge, and a past high priest of the Yorkrite. Survivors include a daughter, Fay Calvert of Pendelton, Ore.; three sons, Melvin E. of Helena, Ernest M. of Fort Smith, and Russell of Billings; a brother, A.J. Farmer of Minneapolis, Minn., and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel in Hardin, with the Rev. Ben Smith of First Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be a 3 p.m. Saturday in Forestvale Cemetery, Helena, with the Rev. Glenn McKerrow officiating. Note: Montana marriage license lists his mother's maiden name to be Virginia Belle Johnson.
