CROOKS Wilford Crooks, son of Ullie and Amy Crooks, was born in Lucas county, Iowa, Nov. 28, 1915, and departed this life at his home, June 28, 1959, after a brief illness, at the age of 43 years and seven months. CROOKS Wilford Crooks, son of Ullie and Amy Crooks, was born in Lucas county, Iowa, Nov. 28, 1915, and departed this life at his home, June 28, 1959, after a brief illness, at the age of 43 years and seven months. On June 19, 1941, he was united in marriage to Ruby Vandell and to this union were born two children, Danny and Annabelle, both at home. Besides his wife and two children, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Coffman of Coon Rapids, and Mrs. Wanda Willis of Lucas; two brothers-in-law, Omar Coffman and Robert Willis; a nephew, Phillip Coffman, and a niece, Sue Coffman, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herman. His entire life was spent in Lucas county with the exception of three years which were spent in California. He was a kind and devoted father and a good neighbor, always willing to help others. He attended Graceland Sunday school as a child and received Christ as his Savior and was ready to meet him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the Miley Chapel June 30 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Miss Frances Hurst and Elder Bob Zimmerman officiating.
