He was born January 1, 1928, in Ayersville, Ohio, the son of Frank and Helen (Goller) Weber. On March 31, 1951, he married Saralea "Sally" Skees, who survives. He was born January 1, 1928, in Ayersville, Ohio, the son of Frank and Helen (Goller) Weber. On March 31, 1951, he married Saralea "Sally" Skees, who survives. He was a barber in Ayersville and a route driver for Maumee Valley Vending Co., retiring in 1992. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1946-48 in Japan, and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Defiance, the St. John Catholic Church Choir and an usher. He attended the Parkinson support group in Defiance and enjoyed golf and spending time at the family cottage at Lake Wilson, Mich. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Saralea "Sally" Weber of Defiance; two sons, Jeff (Teri) Weber of Sarasota, Fla., and Eric (Jennifer) Lirot, Delphos, Ohio; six brothers, Donald Weber of Kalamazoo, Mich., Dr. Norbert (Mary) Weber of Palos Park, Ill., Roger (Ann) Weber of Maumee, Ohio, Fran Weber of Ayersville, Chris (Ann) Weber of Elkhart, Ind., and Gene (Marilyn) Weber, Findlay, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Samantha and Connor Weber and Trevor Lirot. Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Gerald Weber; and a sister, Marjorie Steingass. Services will be at 12 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, in St. John's Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance County, with graveside military rites by VFW Post 3360. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Sunday. Preferred memorials are to Parkinson Fund and/or Hospice the Caring Way of Defiance.
