In the course of his address at the grave the rev. gentlemen referred to the great debt we owe to those pioneer colonists who, with unwearying toil amid many difficulties, first cleared the bush and laid the foundations of our present prosperity. The early pioneers are just passing away ; they " laboured and we has entered into their labours." Mr. W. F. Collin came to Queensland over 30 years ago. He first settled on the Logan River, but the last 29 years he has spent in the Minden and Marburg districts. He was quiet and unassuming in manner, a kind parent, and a good man. Industrious, thrifty and honest, he was one of the best types of a colonist. He lived to see a good number of children and grandchildren and, held --- and affection when he died at 87 years of age.
