Read More	The Oregonian, Portland, OR., July 19, 1919, page 4 OBITUARY ESTACADA, Or., July 18. – (Special) -- William Henry Kellendonk, a resident of this city for about a decade, died suddenly yesterday morning at 1 o'clock. He had not been sick and went to bed the night before in his usual health. About midnight he was taken with an attack of asthma and summoned his daughter, Mrs. Lena Underwood, who lived with him. She immediately called her sister, Mrs. A. G. Ames, who lives nearby. Mr. Kellendonk was a native of Germany and was 78 years of age. With his wife and two children he came to America in 1882, locating first in South Dakota, where he lived six years. In 1888 he removed to Underwood, Wash., where he resided 12 years and where his wife died. In 1910 he came to Estacada, where he had since resided. Five children survive -- William H. Kellendonk, Mrs. Lena Underwood, Mrs. A. G. Ames and Mrs. Katherine Jones, all of Estacada, and Mrs. Mary Walters of Underwood, Wash. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at his late residence, after which the body will be taken to Portland for cremation. Wilhelm ( Harry William ) and Franziska ( Frances ) Kellendonk were married in Germany and had three children: Henry, Mary Ann and William. They came to America in 1881 and settled in South Dakota where they purchased 160 acres 07/25/1882 and had three more children: Magdalena, Elizabeth and Katherine. They eventually settled in Underwood Washington where ion 2/25/1896, he purchased another 160 acres. William's son Henry died 1899, his wife Frances died 1900, and He and his son William were in Underwood 1910, however he and all of his children moved to Estacada Oregon where most lived their lives.
