Description	:	William Zwick was born March 19, 1857, in Adams county, Indiana, and after due instruction in the Christian religion became a communicant member of the Lutheran church. In 1878, at the age of 21, he came to Nebraska. Seven years later he returned to Indiana to get his bride, Miss Sophie Mailand, with whom he was joined in holy wedlock by the Lutheran pastor, Rev. C. F. Evers, March 12, 1885. Read More	William Zwick was born March 19, 1857, in Adams county, Indiana, and after due instruction in the Christian religion became a communicant member of the Lutheran church. In 1878, at the age of 21, he came to Nebraska. Seven years later he returned to Indiana to get his bride, Miss Sophie Mailand, with whom he was joined in holy wedlock by the Lutheran pastor, Rev. C. F. Evers, March 12, 1885. The young couple returned to Nebraska and made their home on a farm six miles northwest of Staplehurst, where they resided until 1917, when his fellow citizens had elected him to the office of county assessor for a term of four years. Since then he has made his home in Seward. When he moved to Seward he transferred his church membership from Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at Marysville to St. John's here at Seward, where he was a regular church attendant and a member in good standing. Of the seven childen born to him, one daughter, Mrs. Sophie Leuthauser, born in 1890, preceded him in death April 5, 1922. Some months previous to his death the deceased became ill. An attack of the winter flu brought him to bed, from which he did not recover. He passed away trusting in his Lord and Savior, December 22, 1927, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 3 days, leaving to mourn his loss, his wife, Mrs. Sophie Zwick, three sons and three daughters, as follows: Mrs. Anna Hockemeyer, Marysville, Nebr.; William Zwick, Jr., of Gomer, Ohio; Otto Zwick of Plain City, Ohio; Mrs. Minnie Manke of Seward; Prof. Theo Zwick of Chicago, Ill.; and Miss Erna Zwick of Seward, and 13 grandchildren, besides two brothers, Carl Zwick of Marysville and Edward Zwick of Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Bremer, Mrs. Emma Oetting, and Mrs. Marie Stoppenhagen all of Indiana, and other relatives and friends. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery, Rev. W. F. Rittamel spoke in th English language. Blue Valley Blade, Seward, NE, Wed, December 28, 1927
