GUSTAVE SCHOENROCK SUCCUMBS TO HEART FAILURE PIONEER IN LINCOLN TOWNSHIP Deceased Woman was a native of Pomerania Germany and Came to America When a Girl With Her Parents—Funeral Sunday Mrs. Schoenrock, wife of Gustave Schoenrock, died at her home 902 Cedar Street this city at half past six yesterday morning. Death was due to heart failure and infirmities of age. Mrs. Schoenrock was a native of Germany, and was born in Pomerana. Her maiden name was Wilhelmina Epling, and she was born on Aug. 25, 1852 being 68 years and three months old at the time of her death. When a girl she came to America with her parents. The family settled in Ottawa County, Ohio, where she was united in marriage with Gustave Schoenrock. They came to Plymouth County in 1877 and settled in Lincoln Township where they farmed until five years ago when they came to Le Mars to make their home. Mrs. Schoenrock leaves to mourn her death her husband, four sons and two daughters who are Henry, Charles, Herman, Leonard, Mrs. Herman Ideker and Mrs. Henry Grimjes all of this county. There are also twenty grandchildren. She also leaves a brother Herman Epling, of Merrill and a sister Mrs. Anna Pfieffer, of Moville. The funeral will be held on Sunday morning at 11 o’clock at St. John’s Lutheran Church, corner of Eagle and Seventh streets, where a short service will be conducted by Rev. J. J. Vollmar. Services will be held at the Lincoln Township Church at 2 o’clock by Rev. Wm. Marth and the interment made in the cemetery there. Mrs. Schoenrock was a loving wife and mother, a good friend and neighbor. She faithfully assisted her husband in making a home and overcoming the trials and vicissitudes of pioneer life and lived to enjoy in later days the blessings earned in hard work and honorable toil.
