Read More	Funeral Services Held in Congregational Church Tuesday Afternoon With Burial Here Mrs. Albert Lawrenz, a resident of this community for more than fifty years, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fay Harris, Sunday morning. She had been, ill for a week. Minnie Henning was born near Berlin, Germany, May 12, 1860, and passed away November 13, 1932, at the age of 72 years, six months and one day. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hennlng. She came to Illinois with her parents In 1872 and in 1877 was united in marriage with Albert Lawrenz. There were ten children born to this union, three of whom preceded her to the Great Beyond. She and her husband spent fifty years of their married life in the vicinity of Newell. Her husband died December 21, 1927. She is survived by one brother, Dr. A. F. Henning of Chicago, Illinois, one sister, Mrs. Julius Sell of Mission, Texas, and seven children, namely, Leo, of Portland, Oregon; Will, of Des Moines, Iowa; Harry, of Storm Lake; Mrs. Edward Benzer of Alhambra, California; Mrs. A. F. Reding of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mrs. H. G. Rodda of Nemaha, and Mrs. Fay Harris of Newell; also seven grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Woman's Relief Corps and was a regular attendant at each meeting. She was a member of the Lutheran church from childhood. She had attended the Congregational church regularly in recent years. Her death removed another of the old citizens and pioneers of Newell and vicinity. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. T. M. Higginbotham. Pall bearers were Benton Harkins, Frank Hines, N. M. Layman, F. B. VanCleve, M. W. Conley and R. Frederiksen. A quartet consisting of Mrs. O.M. Cheney, Mrs. O. B. Rogers, Lyle Smith, and R. S. Geiger sang "In the Garden" and "Jesus Lover My Soul." Loverne Erickson accompanied at the organ.
