MARTIN CLAUSEN Wilhelment Mason was born June 27, 1870, in Copenhagen, Denmark and died October 6, 1922, in Grand Island, Nebr., after an illness of only a few days. In 1891 she was married to Martin Clausen in Copenhagen, coming to the United States shortly after that, and first locating in Omaha, Nebr., where they resided until 1900 when they moved onto a farm near Ord, Nebraska. In ____ the family moved to Sumner, Okla., moving back to Nebraska in 1917, this time settling at North Loup. They lived there until 1919, at which time they bought their present home near Litchfield, Nebraska. Mrs. Clausen left to mourn her husband, Martin Clausen, four daughters, Mrs. Mary Osten, Mrs. Floyd Howe, Mrs. Harry Clayton and Pauline Clausen. Three sons, Emil and Holgar, both of Litchfield and Otto, who has been staying with his sister in this city while he attended high school. All of the immediate family were present at the services. Years ago Mrs. Clausen became a member of the Christian church, and it was in accordance with her wishes that the funeral services held in the Christian church at Central City and the body laid to rest in the cemetery here, last Sunday.
