Herrmann, pastor of the Lidderdale Lutheran Church, officiating. Short rites at the family home at 1:30 will be followed by final services at the Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery here, with John Heuton, Will Fricke, Ed Albers, Adolph Fricke, William Helmkamp and Otto Wenck serving as pallbearers. The body is resting at the family home, having been returned there from the Huffman Funeral Home at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Mrs. Kurth had been bedfast for only two weeks prior to her death, but had been in declining health for some time. She succumbed at her home one mile north and one mile east of Lidderdale, where she had lived for the last sixty-one years. She was known to everyone in this vicinity as "Grandma Kurth." Born Wilhelmina Grade Dec. 15, 1851, near Steppin, Pomerania, Germany, she came to the US in 1868. She settled at Green Bay, WI where she married Ferdinand Kurth on Nov 1, 1870. Five years later, the couple came to Carroll county to make their home near Lidderdale. Mr. Kurth died Dec. 15, 1901, on his wife's fiftieth birthday. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Anna Tobin. Carroll; Frank Kurth, at home; William Kurth of Carroll; John Kurth of Glidden; Mrs Albert Boje (Louise), Glidden, and Louis Kurth, Lanesboro. She also leaves one brother, Louis Grade of Carroll; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Seven children preceded her in death. They were Bertha, Ernest, Tillie, Charles, Albert, Emma and Ed. Mrs. Kurth was a member of the Lutheran Church.
