She married Harvey H. Herrold on Jan. 19, 1875 in Westville, LaPorte, Indiana. Together they had fourteen children: Nettie Mae, Infant, Dora, Flora, John Quincy, Clara Magdalena, William Henry, Victor Winfield, Carl Edward, Ira Ovel, Raymond Arthur, Floyd Lloyd, Alvin James and Leonard Walter Herrold. She married Harvey H. Herrold on Jan. 19, 1875 in Westville, LaPorte, Indiana. Harvey came to Nebraska with son John. Minnie was to come later with Dora, Flora and Nettie. When she arrived, Harvey looked all over for Dora and Flora but they weren't there as they had both died of Diphtheria. In 1880 they lived in Bee, Seward, Nebraska. Wilhelmina Herrold Obit Unknown Newspaper: "Wilhelmina, or Minnie as they always called her, White Herrold, was born in Michigan City, Ind., April 9th, 1856. She died Friday evening, September 8th, making her 83 years, 4 months and 29 days old. On Jan. 19, 1875 she was married to Harvey Herrold at Westerville, Ind., and in 1889 came with him to Nebraska, locating on a farm near Bee. To them were born thirteen children, two of whom died in childhood, and one, Carl, having been killed in France during the World War. The living children are: Nettie Clapp and John of Seward, Clara Darnall of Cordova, Will of Aurora, Victor of Newport, Ira of Aurora, Raymond of Murray, IA, Floyd of Wathena, Kans., Alvin and Leonard of Seward. There are 29 living grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; also a brother, Harry White of Knox, Ind. Mr. Herrold died November 28, 1897 when the youngest boy was 11 months old. Mrs. Herrold had the bringing up of her large family and after that until they were grown. She was a wonderful mother and a wonderful manager. When her husband died their place was heavily mortgaged. With the help of her children and by good management the debt was entirely wiped out. Mrs. Herrold moved from the farm and came to Seward in 1917, and has lived here ever since. When a child, Sister Herrold was confirmed in the Lutheran Church. After she came to Seward, and under the pastorate of Rev. Story, she united with our Methodist Church here and until failing health prevented her she was a regular attendant. Her whole life was given to her Christ. After being stricken with her last illness her pastor visited her several times. She was always cheery, her face wreathed in smiles, and almost to the very last joking about something. When he led in prayer her eyes filled with tears, not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy, as she thought of what her Christ had meant to her and to her family. She was a Gold Star mother, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and her whole life had been given to her Christ, to her church and to her family." " Mrs. Minnie Herrold, Bee Pioneer, Died Came to Seward County in 1889; Was Gold Star Mother; Funeral Tuesday Mrs. Wilhelmina Herrold, 83, died last Friday evening. She was born in Michigan City, Ind., and came to Nebraska in 1880, shortly after her husband had located here, on a farm near Bee. Her husband, Harvey, died in 1897. Mrs. Herrold moved to Seward in 1917 and has resided here since then. She was a member of the American Legion auxiliary, and was a Gold Star mother, her son Carl having died in action in France during the world war. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nettie Clapp of Seward and Mrs. Clara Darnall of Cordova; eight sons, John and Alvin of Seward, William of Benedict, Victor of Newport, Nebr., Ira of Aurora, Leonard of Tamora, Raymond of Murray, IA and Floyd of Wathena, Kans. Funeral services were held at the Seward Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Chas. McCaskill officiating. Burial was in the Seward Cemetery."
