Read More	Peterson, "Billie" Wilhelmina O. Moon – Passed away on January 28, 1992. Billie Peterson was born on September 27, 1911 at Reardon, Washington. One of six children she had one brother and four sisters. She received her early schooling in Washington where she graduated from Reardon High School. Following graduation she worked in Reardon until her marriage, May 27, 1931, in Spokane, Washington where she and her husband Frank J. Peterson lived briefly until moving to the state of Michigan where they lived for 16 years. Then there was a brief stay in Spokane before moving to San Bruno and the South San Francisco area where Mr. Peterson worked as a skilled tool and die maker. Their son, Andy, was born .... Billie had an extended career in the accounting department of one of the major airlines. She retired in 1977 when she came to live in Calistoga at the Rancho De Calistoga Mobile Home Park. Billie had become an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star while in South San Francisco. She worked through the chairs of that fraternal serving as Worthy Matron more than once and she went on to high positions in the Eastern Star Program as Deputy Grand Matron of Silverado District. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, regular in attendance, served as the Recording Treasurer for ten years or more and active in the Women's Program both in attendance and service. Also a member of the St. Helena P.O.E. Chapter and the Sharpsteen Museum Association. Following her retirement and move to Calistoga, Billie was able to take advantage of the special flying privileges she enjoyed from Northwest Airlines. She had varied and many trips to see relatives here in the States and also overseas to Europe and to see her son and his family in Alaska and the Panama Canal. Billie was a devoted mother and grandmother, a good friend to so many of us, a loyal church person, a dedicated Eastern Star member, and "she had the prettiest blue eyes ever". She will be missed. Memorial services will be held at the Calistoga Community Presbyterian Church, 1407 3rd St., Calistoga, on Saturday, February 1, 1992, at 2 pm. Dr. Don Emmel conducting service. The Press Democrat (Santa Rosa, California); 1.30.1992; p. 16 Billie married Frank Joslin Peterson on May 27, 1931 in Spokane, Spokane, Washington. He was born October 15, 1909 in Alanson, Emmet, Michigan and died February 27, 1980 in Burlingame, San Mateo, California. They later divorced.
