August Wagner. For eleven years she remained in Chicago and attended the Christian Day School and then in 1883 came to Blue Hill, Nebraska. Read More	Final Rites Held Friday For Mrs. William Arndt Wilhelmina Sophia Buck, the daughter of Carl Buck and his wife Sophia, nee Frahm, was born March 16, 1872 in Chicago, Illinois and was baptized March 27, the same year by Rev. August Wagner. For eleven years she remained in Chicago and attended the Christian Day School and then in 1883 came to Blue Hill, Nebraska. Here she finished her Christian education and was confirmed in 1885, March 29 by Rev. C. Schubkegel in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, then 4 miles southeast of Blue Hill. July 14, 1896, she was joined in Holy Wedlock with William Arndt, Rev. C. Schubkegel officiating. For a time they made their home on the farm four miles south of town. Since 1905 they have lived in our village. The marital union was blessed with 8 children, 6 sons, and 2 daughters. The oldest son, August, preceded her in death at the age of 10 years in 1909. The following together with their father mourn her death: Mrs. Sophia Buss, Herbert, Mrs. Emma Buss, Paul, all of Blue Hill; William & Louis, serving our country in the armed forces, Harold at home, and 9 grandchildren. The last year of her life she was an invalid, unable to walk. She passed her time in reading wholesome literature, church papers, the Bible, devotional books. Towards the close of her life after a paralytic stroke she was unable to do this any longer, as her eyes grew dim. Last Friday she passed into a coma from which she finally was translated into the joys of heaven, last Sunday, at about the hour of ten in the evening. She reached the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 11 days. Her funeral services will be held today (30 July 1941) at 2 pm from the house of mourning. The main service in Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:15.
