Read More	Mrs. Nittert Aalfs Died Friday At Her Home In Sioux City Mrs. Nittert Aalfs, 66, of Sioux City, wife of a longtime Sioux City business man, who is owner of the Aalfs Baker company and was for a time in business In Le Mars at the turn of the century, died Friday evening at her home after a two-month illness. Mrs. Aalfs was born August 10, 1882 at Pella, Iowa. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Vanderlinden. She was graduated from Central college at Pella after which she taught school at Sioux Center, Iowa. She was married to Mr. Aalfs June 27, 1906 in Pella. They moved to Fort Dodge, where they resided until coming to Sioux City in October, 1909. Mrs. Aalfs was a member of the First Presbyterian church, where she was active in the women's societies. She was chairman of the deaconess board and a member of the Mary McLintock circle of the church, a member of the Sioux City Woman's club, DH chapter of PEO and the Amphictyon club of which she was a past president. She was a past director of the YWCA. Survivors besides the widower are two sons. N. Wilbur of Sioux City and John L. of New York City, two daughters Mrs. Lester Schaff of Elmira, N.Y., and Mrs. Jack Roberge of New York city; a sister Mrs. Henry Schalekamp of Sioux Center, a brother, Maurene Vander Linden of Pella, and six grand children. --Pella Chronicle, September 16, 1948 --added by Stephanie Smith
