Read More	DEATH OF MRS HENRY GRAESCH Mrs Henry Graesch, one of the old and highly respected citizens of this vicinity, died at the home of her son, Mr William Graesch, at twelve o’clock Sunday, January 13, 1923, aged 77 years, 7 months and 10 days. While Mrs Graesch had been a semi-invalid for a number of years, she had been no worse, but on Friday night she went into a sleep that lasted for thirty-six hours and from which she never awoke. Wilhilmine Gallmeyer was born on the Atlantic ocean on June 3, 1846, while her parents were enroute to the United States from Germany. They settled in Adams county, Ind, and there she passed her childhood and girlhood days, attended school, and was confirmed into the Lutheran church of which she was a faithful member all her life. She was married to Mr Henry Graesch and afterward moved to Collings, Ill, where they lived until 1891 when they came to Kansas, purchasing the farm two miles west of town and reside there until her death. Mr Graesch preceded his wife in death many years ago. Five children were born to them, one of whom, a boy, preceded his parents in death. The others are: Mrs Sophie Becker, Mr Fred Graesch and Mr William Graesch of Sylvan Grove, and Mr Martin Graesch of Natoma. Mrs Graesch also leaves twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, at two o’clock at the home and the Lutheran church, Rev FA Mehl, preaching the impressive sermon from the text, “Why seek ye the living among the dead?” A touching tribute of affection for their grandmother was the song given by Mrs Graesch’s grandchildren during the closing part of the service at the home. By her death her children have lost to tender and devoted mother, and her acquaintances a true and faithful friend, and Sylvan Grove a worthy citizen. Out-of-town relatives here for the funeral were Mr and Mrs Martin Graesch of Natoma, Mrs SM Shclicher of Vassar, Kansas, and Miss Marie Geye of Vassar.
