Description	:	Wilhelmina (who went by Wilkelina after immigration) Rykena was born 4 October 1855 in Loquard, Ostfriesland. She immigrated with her parents, Ryke Berends Rykena (1810-1876) and Tjeetste Jacobs Bischaft (1817-1875) and 6 surviving siblings on 10 October 1864 into Castle Gardens, NYC. She married Weert Koring on 3 January 1876. The couple had no children of their own. In 1881, Weert and Wilkelina assumed responsibility for the infant daughter, Aukea "Carrie" Berg, upon the death in childbirth of Wilkelina's sister and Carrie's mother, Aukea (nee Rykena) Berg.
