Seeley, born in Pierce in 1886, arrived here last Saturday afternoon, accompanied by Mrs. Harry D. Couzens, of Honolulu, H. I., and were laid to rest beside her mother in Prospect View cemetery, short services being conducted by Rev. Chas. H. Dains, pastor of the local Congregational church. Mrs. Irvine was bereft of father and mother when but a little child and was reared under the guardianship of Nate Peterson, of Plainview, and secured her common school education in the Plainview public schools. She married Gerald Irvine, a native of the city of London, of whom she was bereft in 1916. Mrs. Irvine and her sister, Mrs. E. A. Wanser, formerly Friendly Lucas, removed to Colorado last spring. Mrs. Irvine was a victim of influenza and died on the eleventh day of her illness on October 22. Mrs. Wanser, too, was a sufferer from the same ailment and unable to attend the funeral. Mrs. Couzens went from New York to Greeley and brought the remains to Pierce for burial. The deceased was a sister of Robert Lucas, cousin of Woods and Douglas Cones and an aunt of Mrs. Will Johnson, of Plainview, Mrs. Ben Hicks, of Breslau, and Miss Virginia Wanser, of Plainview.
