Description	:	Willard A. Armstrong, 717 S. Seventh Ave., Sterling, died Thursday, Dcc. 12, 1991, at Sterling Regional MedCenter. He was 82. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 1991, at Chancy-Walters Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth W. Neal officiating.Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Armstrong was born Feb. 27, 1909, at Geneva, Neb., the son of Albert Ernest and Minnie Talkington Armstrong. He attended school at Geneva until March 1918, when he moved with his family to Sterling. The family farmed northwest of Ster ling. He finished grade school at Mount Hope Country School and attend Sterling High School for three years. Mr. Armstrong was married to Frances Vallier Aug. 14, 1949, in Sterling. The couple ranched and farmed until his retirement in 1981. The Armstrongs moved to Sterling in May 1985, having lived on the farm for 67 years. Mr. Armstrong was a member of Christ Untied Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Sterling BPO Elks Lodge No. 1336. He is survived by his wife, of Sterling; by daughter Merrie Armstrong of Sterling, and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Armstrong, who died in May 1977, and by four brothers and two sisters. Contributions can be made in Mr. Armstrong's memory to the Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the National Organization for Rare Diseases. Cards are available at Chancy Walters' chapel.
