Description	:	Willard Briley, age 84, of Lincoln, Neb., and formerly of the Southwest Iowa and Southeast Nebraska area, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004 at Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln, Neb. He was born on Oct. 26, 1919, in Fremont County to Warren Edward and Ida (Belt) Briley. He graduated from the Tabor High School in 1938. As a young man, Willard worked on the family farm. Read More	Willard Briley, age 84, of Lincoln, Neb., and formerly of the Southwest Iowa and Southeast Nebraska area, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004 at Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln, Neb. He was born on Oct. 26, 1919, in Fremont County to Warren Edward and Ida (Belt) Briley. He graduated from the Tabor High School in 1938. As a young man, Willard worked on the family farm. On Oct. 26, 1940, he married Emma Elnora Davis in Clarinda. He farmed, did wood carving, and worked construction as a Master Carpenter. After the death of his first wife, he retired and moved to Arizona where he met Alberta Lucille Richards. On May 5, 1980 they married in Reno, Nev. They later moved to Lincoln. Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his mother, father, seven brothers, five sisters, and a step-daughter Anna Mae. Survivors include his wife Alberta Lucille Briley of Lincoln; three daughters: Mary Lou Anderson and husband Doug of Lincoln, Ann M. Hanks and husband Robert of Bloomfield, Conn., and Marilyn Rohlfs and husband Larry of Casper, Wyo.; two sons, Terry Briley and wife Jayne of Walton, Nebr., and Ryan Briley and wife Janice of Lincoln; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great- grandchildren; two step-daughters; Claudine Stahnke and husband Rich of Palo Alto, Calif., and Linda Roybal and husband Jerry of Surprise, Ariz.; six step-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Family will greet friends during visitation from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Peterson Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. at the Peterson Mortuary Chapel in Nebraska City with the Reverend Jeffrey Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Lancaster Manor, 1001 South 10th Street, Lincoln, NE 68502 or Bryan LGH Heart Institute, 1600 South 48th Street, Lincoln, NE 68506.
