Willard died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Avera Gregory Hospital in Gregory, South Dakota. Willard Eugene Dummer, son of Herman and Lena (Dvorak) Dummer, was born October 5, 1942, at Spencer, Nebraska. Willard attended Naper High School. He served his country in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964 during the Vietnam War. On January 27, 1968, Willard was united in marriage to Janice Honke at the Catholic Church in Naper, Nebraska. They were blessed with five children, Cory, Carmon, Ryan, Kylie, and Kurt. Willard was a farmer in the Spencer/Naper area and also worked in construction. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Naper Veterans of Foreign Wars. Willard is survived by his children, Cory (Colleen) Dummer of Gretna and their children, Jessica and her daughter Harper, Devin and her daughter Emma, and Drew, Carmon (Rod Al-Rashid) Dummer of Omaha, Ryan (Lana) Dummer of Aurora and their children, Paxtyn, Addisyn, and Maddex, Kylie Dummer of Elkhorn and her son, Kyah, and Kurt (Kim) Dummer of Hickman and their children, Collin, Crew, and Hanes; and siblings, Harvey Dummer, Nola Ulmer, Carol Wentz, Dorothy Heermann, and Doris Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lena Dummer; wife, Janice; sister, Patsy (Glen) VanHouten; brothers, DeWayne Dummer and Marlin (Zelda) Dummer; brother-in-law, Harold Ulmer; and niece, Wanda Gutierrez.
