Read More	Willard "Bill" Loring Daws was born to Ralph Thomas Daws and Luch Pearl (Philson) Daws on May 8, 1922, at Randolph and passed away August 9, 2011, at Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva at the age of 89 years, three months, and one day. He was one of 15 children in the family, being the 13th child. Bill attended Randolph Public School, graduating from the eight grade. He worked for farmers throughout his life. His last job was employment with West Brothers Construction until he retired. Bill Met Darlene (Vocicka-Johnson) while visiting his brother and niece in Fairmont. They were united in marriage on December 17, 1976, at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Grafton. He had a ready-made family with five stepdaughters whom he loved as if they were his own. Bill enjoyed gardening, walking, riding his three-wheel bike, visiting, playing cards (especially Skip Bo) and teasing. He also was a big Husker fan. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James Lyle (Vera); Howard Raymond (Ann); Rex Thomas (Dorothy); Merwin, Richar Clayton (Jean); Donald LaVerne (Frances); Kenneth, Clifford Merle (Genevieve); Robert Dale (Willica); Glen; sisters, Irene (Hiliary) Hosch; Marjorie (Carl) Hosch; Leona (Val) Erne; Lucy (Paul) Huisinga; sisters-in-law, Donna Scheil and Linda Vodicka; brother-in-law, Don Mason and by a beloved grandson, Scott Christian Garrigan. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Daws; stepdaughters and son-in-law, Desiree (Chris) Bennett; Renee (Chris)Sluka; LaRae (Don) Garrigan; Charlene (Joseph) Magrini; and Michelle (Brian) Drahota; granddaughters, Shilah Garrigan; and Whitney Drahota; grandsons, Seth Garrigan; Ryan Sluka, and Dominic Magrini; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Geneva, with Father Walsh officiating on August 13. Nancy Jo Galusha accompanied the congregation who sang "Immaculate Mary," "Amazing Grace," "On Eagles Wings," "Ave Maria" and "Holy God We Praise Thy Name." Pallbearers were Shilah Garrigan, Seth Garrigan, Ryan Sluka, Whitney Drahota, Jim Dawes and Randy Vodicka. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Garrigan and Dominic Magrini.
