Description	:	Willemina Niessink, 79, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. A funeral service was held on Friday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Rev. Harold Lenters and Rev. Greg Alderman officiated. Burial was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center. Willemina was born on Nov. 29, 1920, the daughter of Ted and Gertrude (Keizer) De Vries. She graduated from Orange City High School. She married Charles H. Niessink on Aug. 27, 1947, at the First Reformed Church, Orange City. Mrs. Niessink was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. She enjoyed ceramics, flowers, birds, nature, and keeping in contact with friends and family with letters, cards and phone calls. Survivors include her husband, Charles; a daughter Cheryl and her husband Lt. Col. Bill Brown of Panama City, Fla.; a son Bob and his wife Sharon Niessink of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Aaron and Kristine Brown, Luke Brown, Shannon Niessink, Amy and Tom Elmore, Chris, Cody, Matthew, Joshua and Jordan Niessink; a great-granddaughter, Megan Elmore; and a sister and her husband, Gertrude and Lawrence Van Roekel of Alton. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers. Sioux County Capital 2000-06-08.
