Description	:	William A. "Bill" Ward Sr., of Hanahan, widow of Lilly Micheau Ward, entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 6, 2012, in Charleston, SC. Bill was born September 14, 1924 in Andrews, SC, to the late Jennings Lee Ward and Bertha Cooper Ward. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He worked for the Charleston Naval Shipyard with 34 years Federal Service beginning as a pipefitter and later became a supervisor ship surveyor. Bill was a member of Alsdergate U.M.C. for over 52 years and also was a lifetime member of the Harper's Lodge # 225 in Andrews, SC and he was a member of the Senior Sunshine Bowling League. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lilly M. Ward; sons: William A. Ward Jr. (Glenda) and Randy S. Ward (Tami) and a daughter: Theresa Meynardie (Mike) all of Hanahan, SC, a brother: Norris J. Ward (Gwen) of McClellanville, SC, grandchildren: Adam Ward, Jenna Ward , Stephen Ward, Crystal M. Schneider and a step grandson Glenn Orr Jr. He was predeceased by his parents Jennings Lee Ward and Bertha C. Ward, and a sister Janice Ward. The relatives and friends of Mr. Bill A. Ward are invited to attend his funeral services, February 8, 2012, at eleven o'clock a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery in Andrews, SC at two o'clock p.m.
