Funeral services conducted by Rev. H. A. Wingard pastor of the Christian church, were held at Coder's Funeral Home Sunday afternoon. Mrs. W. H. Hendricks and Mrs. H. A. Wingard sang several sacred songs, the latter presiding at the piano. Burial was in the Coon Rapids cemetery. The obituary as read by Rev. Wingard follows: William Alfred Boston was born April 1, 1854, on a farm in Mercer County, near Slipery Rock, Pa. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Boston. He passed away Friday morning at 8:15, May 13, 1932, being 78 years, 1 month, and 12 days old. Mr. Boston was married to Huldy Springer and to this union were born six children: Sarah, John, Byron, Claud, Edith, and Ethel. He married the second wife, Fannie Dvoraek, August 11th, 1897, at Boone. He moved on a farm near McCallsberg, Iowa, where he made his home until 1915. He moved to Manning, and later moved on a farm south of Coon Rapids where he lived for some time. He retired from the farm in 1917 and came to Coon Rapids where he lived until the time of his passing. To his second union were born seven children: Mrs. Guy Stoops, Ames, Iowa; William E. Boston, Chicago, Illinois; Harlan W. Boston, deceased; Earl Boston, New Hall; Lillian Boston, Des Moines; Evelyn Boston, Los Angeles, Cal.; and Russell Boston, Coon Rapids. Besides his wife and children, he leaves one brother, Orin Boston, Webber, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Wyatt, Manning, and Mrs. Mary Freeze, Rushville, Nebraska; and a large circle of friends to mourn his passing.
