Read More	Progress Enterprise - Wednesday, 21 May 1952 - Page 8 - Anthony Cantelope - The death occurred on Wednesday, May 7th at his home at Northwest of Anthony Cantelope, age 78 years. The sudden passing came as a shock and bereavement to his family, relatives and friends of the town and community in which he lived. Ill health forced him to give up hard work only a few weeks ago, but courage and faith kept him about with his family until the angels suddenly called him to a greater world. For the past 52 years he was employed with the town of Lunenburg, operating the Pump and Power plant which supplies the town water, the plant being situated on the farm of the deceased. Born at Northwest he was the son of the late Georgina and Peter Cantelope. He leaves to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and father, his wife, the fomer May Dauphinee of Northwest and 3 sons, Owen of Lunenburg; Dawson of Bridgewater and Starr at home, also 6 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Tessie Rhodenizer, Mrs. Georgina Wilkie and Mrs. Whitford Falkenham; 2 brothers, Peter of Lunenburg and Edwin, Cambridge, Mass. 3 other brothers predeceased him some years ago. He was a member of the Northwest Baptist Church. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. F.R. Doleman, from the late residence on Saturday afternoon. The choir in attendance rendered beautifully the hymns "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden." Miss Gertrude Smeltzer and her sister, Mrs. Allister Lowe sang as a duet "When the Roll is Called up Yonder", the choir joining them in the chorus. Rev. Doleman gave a very touching and comforting address and Prayer to the family and friends. Paying the best respects to a beloved husband and father, the body was taken to Northwest for burial. The pall bearers were - Armand Falkenham, Ernest Keddy, Douglas Oickle and Wilfred Schnare. With thanks to Richard Noble.
