Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 in St. Thomas church here, with the Rev. Edward Vollmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery at Whittemore. The Foy Funeral home is directing arrangements. Active pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased, will be William and Howard Fries, Henry and Clarence Doerning, William Korleski and Patrick Farrell. He came to America at the age of 16 and lived in Chicago. He was married in Chicago in 1877 to Miss Josephine Novak and they established their home in that city. About 50 years ago, they moved to a farm west of Whittemore, and lived there until 26 years ago, when they retired and moved to a home in Emmetsburg. Mrs. Korleski died in 1937. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Mary Fries, Emmetsburg, Mrs. Clara Fude, Cylinder, Mrs. Julia Farrell, Whittemore, Mrs. Anna K. Peterson, Sioux City, Mrs. Agnes Doerning, Graettinger, and Mrs. Rose Laughlin, Omaha, and three sons, John Korleski, Big Lake, Minn., Joe Korleski, Emmetsburg, and Wm. Korleski, Cherokee. One son, Frank Korleski, died 21 years ago. The deceased was an unusually successful farm operator. Through hard work, good management and frugality he accumulated extensive real estate holdings here, and was considered one of the outstanding farmers in this territory. Despite his many years of arduous labor, he lived to the far advanced age of 90, and during his period of retirement, was able to look back upon a highly useful and well-ordered life. Sincere sympathy is extended to the surviving sons and daughters and other relatives.
