Description	:	William "Archie" Bolin passed away at home on May 12, 2006. He was born June 27, 1917 in the Lime Belt near Riverside, Wash. He was the son of Okanogan County Homesteaders, William C. Bolin and Julia A. Cogdill Bolin. Archie attended Okanogan schools and graduated from Okanogan High School in 1938. He played football for the Bulldogs and had a life long passion for the game. He was born June 27, 1917 in the Lime Belt near Riverside, Wash. He was the son of Okanogan County Homesteaders, William C. Bolin and Julia A. Cogdill Bolin. Archie attended Okanogan schools and graduated from Okanogan High School in 1938. He played football for the Bulldogs and had a life long passion for the game. He was called into the Army in April of 1943. He served two years in the Pacific Theater during World War II. On July 27, 1941 he married Hazel Annabell McCulley, who preceded him in death. He worked over 30 years in the lumber industry in Okanogan County and in Oregon for the Warm Springs Lumber Company near Madras, Ore. He resided in Oregon between 1947 and 1967 when he returned to Okanogan County when he purchased property along Scotch Creek in the Conconully area. Archie married Faye Hill in June 1981 and together they raised alfalfa and cattle until July 2001 when they sold the ranch and moved near Omak where they lived at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Faye; daughters, Linda Howard of Okanogan, Lola Capp (George) of Medford, Ore.; son, Paul (Barbara) Estep of Riverside; two granddaughters, Carrie Capp of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Megan Capp of Eugene, Ore.; and one grandson, Jack Lemar. He is also survived by two sisters, Iona Utt of Riverside and Eula Utt of Brewster; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Freddie R. Bolin. Services will be held at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel on Friday, May 19, 2006, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Okanogan Regional Home Health and Hospice for the American Cancer Society. A visitation will be held at the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2006.
