Mr. Jackson was born September 10, 1943 in Marlboro County to the late James Allan Jackson and Margaret Mae McDaniel Jackson. He spent his working career of almost four decades with Southern Bell. During his free time he enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR races. Mr. Jackson was a huge fan of the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and he loved dirt track racing as well. He loved people and hearing their stories and telling them his. However, his greatest joy in this world came from his 2 grandsons and 5 granddaughters. Bill Jackson will be missed by everyone who knew him. In addition to his parents Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Jackson and Hamer Lewis Jackson and two sisters, Sara Margaret Kirkley and Maxine Elizabeth Baldwin. To cherish his memory Mr. Jackson leaves behind two sons, Dr. William Arthur "Billy" Jackson, Jr., and wife Celeste, of Myrtle Beach and Robert "Bobby" Allan Jackson, and wife Sherri, of Simpsonville, SC; a brother, David Ray Jackson, and wife Sue, of Blenheim; a sister, Doris Evelyn Wagner of Bennettsville, 7 grandchildren, a special companion, Mrs. Mary Barrington of Bennettsville, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones. Memorials may be made to the Marlboro County Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 123, Bennettsville, SC 29512. Burroughs-Cooper-Kiser Funeral Home of Bennettsville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
