A. McCall of Beaver township were held in Ogden Tuesday, August 31, the services being held in the Methodist Episcopal church there in charge of the Rev. J.J. Pruitt of Grand Junction, assisted by Rev. O.W. Morrow of the Methodist church. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery. The services at the grave being in charge of the Masonic order of which he was a member. Mr. McCall died from the effects of injuries received when he fell from a load of tile which he was taking in a wagon to his home in Beaver township. The seat which he had placed upon the top of the load slipped and he fell to the ground striking on his head and shoulders. He arose after the accident and was able to walk across the street but later he suffered a relapse and in the effort to save him he was rushed to Des Moines but passed away before he could be taken to the hospital. Deceased was born on the old home place seven miles south of Ogden on Jan 2, 1883. On January 4, 1915, he was united in marriage to Miss Effie Steward of the Berkley neighborhood, and to this union was born a son. Besides the wife and little son, he leaves to mourn his mother, four sisters, three brothers and many other relatives and friends. The grief of the family is made more intense by the fact that Arthur's father, Wm. B McCall passed away but a few short weeks ago.
