Burial was in Rector Cemetery, rural Chelsea. Mr. Bazyn died Sunday, March 17, 2002 at his home following a 10 week illness with cancer. Bazyn was born March 11, 1928, at rural Chelsea, the son of August and Lena Veit Bazyn. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1946. He married Dorothea Ryan on May 26, 1948 at Chelsea Methodist Church. He was a farmer and enjoyed making crafts and taking them to shows. He like to mow and took pride in the condition of his farm. He was a member of the Chelsea Methodist Church and on the Rector Cemetery Board. He is survived by his wife, Dorothea; two sons, Kenneth Bazyn and wife, Barbara, Chelsea, and Richard Bazyn and wife, Elgene, Henry, Illinois; a daughter, Kathy Havlik and husband, Lee, Marshalltown; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Hrabak Funeral Home, Belle Plaine, was in charge of arrangements. Contributor: George (48419540)
