The funeral and interment took place at Pen Branch cemetery, Woodford, this afternoon. Mr Boles was a prosperous farmer of Woodford ad an ative member of the Methodist church here. Jan 26, 1917 The State -------------- PROMINENT FARMER DEAD Wm Boles, of Orangeburg County, Dies in Columbia Orangeburg, Jan 30 [1917] - Mr William Boles, a prominent farmer of the Woodford section of this county, died at a Columbia hospital after a serious operation. The funeral took place at Penn Branch cemetery yesterday afternoon, conducted by the Knights of Pythias Lodge, to which Mr Boles belonged. He was a member of the Methodist church and took an active part in church work. Surviving the deceased are his widow, who was Miss Idella Martin, and sons and daughters as follows: Julian Boles, United States Army; Jesse Boles, with the South Carolina infantry at El Paso; Tal and Hillie Boles of Woodford; Mrs Clyde Fogle of Livingston; Miss Annie Boles of Woodford; Mrs Ella Boles O'Brien of Woodford; also a sister, Mrs M C Wingard, and two brothers, John Boles and Jasper Boles, of the Woodford section.
