Description	:	William B. Styer William B. Styer, 79, of 365 Fourth St. N.E., formerly of Virgil, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at his home. The funeral will be a 10 a.m. Saturday at First Methodist Church in Huron with the Rev. Richard Rinerson officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery at Huron, with military rites by Huron Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be Brain, Jason, Adam and Ronald Styer, Shon Alvarado, Joshua Norris and Kevin Kim. Richard Rinerson officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery at Huron, with military rites by Huron Veterans Council. There will be a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home. William Benjamin Styer was born May 4,1921, to Francis and Mary (Peck) Styer at Huron. He attended Morningside School. On March 30, 1942, he married Carolyn J North. In August of that year, he enlisted in the Army and served in the European Theatre during World War II. After his discharge in 1945, he returned to Huron and was employed with Armour and Company from 1945 until 1984, when he retired. After his retirement from Armour's, he continued with out of town delivery of the Plainsman. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1776. He is survived by his children, Dennis William Styer of Box Elder, Roger Allen (Sharon) Styer of Cavour, LaVern Henry (Becky) Styer of Jackson, Mo., Brent Lynn (Linda) Styer of St. Charles, Mo., Gloria Jean Saputo of St. Charles, Krista Ann (Marvins)Tompkins of Huron, Belinda Sue Norris of St. Charles, Mo., Joan Rea Styer of Troy, Mo., Mary Ellen Pownell Styer of Jamaica, Michael Pownell Styer and William Benjamin Pownell Styer both of Huron, 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; a brother, Leo (Vern) Styer of Brandon; three sisters, Hazel (George) Moeding of Huron, Anastacia (Darwin) North of Howard, and Betty Lou (Richard) Dentz of Coon Rapids, Minn.; and a special friend, Verna Pownell of Huron.
