Description	:	William, "Bill" Sohriakoff Passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2014. He was 90 years old. Bill was born in San Francisco on June 15, 1923 to immigrant parents, William and Dorothy Sohriakoff. He spent his entire life in San Francisco. His early years were spent on DeHaro Street in Potrero Hill with his brothers, John and Alex. He attended Mission High School. Bill was born in San Francisco on June 15, 1923 to immigrant parents, William and Dorothy Sohriakoff. He spent his entire life in San Francisco. His early years were spent on DeHaro Street in Potrero Hill with his brothers, John and Alex. He attended Mission High School. In 1942, during WWII, Bill joined the US Coast Guard and served until 1947. He then became a letter carrier for the US Postal Service where he worked until he retired in the 1980's. In 1964, Bill, then a postal supervisor, met the love of his life, Sarah, also a postal supervisor. They married in 1965, and were always together until Sarah's passing in 2010. After their retirement, they spent their time enjoying their home and their grandson, Tony Roumph. Bill is survived by his stepdaughter, Karen Roumph, his son-in-law, Tim Roumph, his grandson Tony Roumph, and his great grandson, Timothy Roumph. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah, his parents William and Dorothy Sohriakoff, and his brothers Alex and John Sohriakoff. We would like to thank Bougainvilleas Care Home for the wonderful care they gave Bill in the last year of his life. Also thank you to Mission Hospice for their caring treatment of Bill in the last weeks of his life. There will be no services. Bill will be interred next to Sarah at the Russian Sectarian Cemetery in Colma, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mission Hospice. Bill and Sarah are once again together forever.
