Description	:	The son of Johannes Reigert and Elizabeth Ehrman Reigert. On 11 March 1828 in Rockingham County, Virginia, William married Anna Keller. William Reherd performed the iron work throughout the Third Courthouse on Court Square in 1834. During the Civil War some Yankees set up camp in the yard of the farm he lived at near Harrisonburg. They took two cows. William Reherd was told to go to General Phil Sheridan and report the theft, which he did. Sheridan gave him a written order to take the cows back, whenever he should see them.
