Read More	Corydon Times Republican February 14, 1924 Obituary William Boyd Sharp, the little son of Walter and Mildred Sharp, was born in Corydon, Iowa, June 28, 1923 and the sweet little spirit went back to its Maker at the Centerville hospital on Feb. 8, 1924, where he had been taken the day before by parents, relatives and a physician in the hope of saving the little life at the age of 7 months, and 11 days. All that medical skill and loving hands could do were done but Jesus spoke and said "suffer the little children to come unto me" and the little babe went. He was a bright winning little fellow and won all hearts. He leaves to mourn his departure, his father and mother, two grandmothers, seven uncles, four aunts, two great aunts and one great uncle whose hearts are breaking because of his going, but whose lives are richer and better for the little one having lived with them those few short months. The cause of his death was complications following pneumonia. The little casket was a perfect bower of beautiful flowers, the pall bearers were the four brothers of the mother, Clifton, Virgil, Marion and James Ferren. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Keast, pastor of the Methodist church, who spoke comforting words from the 18th Chapter of Mathew. A large number of sorrowing relatives and friends followed the remains to the last resting place in the Corydon cemetery. We had a little treasure once, He was our joy and pride, We loved him, oh, perhaps too well, For soon he slept and died. So we layed our darling baby, As it seemed beneath the sod, But he only was transplanted, In the garden of our God. CARD OF THANKS We wish to extend our sincere thanks to our friends and neighbors who rendered such able assistance during the sickness and death of our darling baby, for the music and beautiful floral offerings we are truly thankful.
