Banker Jr., son of William H. and Ida (Marsh) Banker Sr. was born on July 16, 1924 in Aberdeen. He was raised on a farm north of Aberdeen and attended country school. Bill was united in marriage to Edna Staebner on January 19, 1946 in Aberdeen. They made their home at several places in Brown County prior to settling on a farm near Richmond Lake in 1965. This is where they raised their family and made their home for the next 30 years. Along with farming, Bill also hauled cattle for Bill Rogers Trucking and worked at Dakota Midland Hospital. Following Bill's retirement the couple began making their home in Aberdeen. Bill's beloved wife Edna died on June 9, 2010. Bill loved his life on the farm and especially enjoyed tinkering on different things and being outdoors. He loved his family and cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grateful for having shared Bill's life are two sons, Ronald Banker, Aberdeen and Terry (Cindy) Banker, Aberdeen; four daughters, Bonnie (Rick) Phalen, Mount Prospect, IL, Linda (Curt) Banker-Wagner, Winneconne, WI, Diana Banker, Aberdeen and Patty (Gary) Amen, Lake Norden SD, seven grandchildren, Christine (Dan) Bosma, Rich Banker, Elizabeth, William and Patrick Phalen, Amanda Banker and Corey Amen and three great grandchildren, Kayla, Brooklyn and Aspen. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and four sisters, Lucille Sahli, Myrna Bullen, Dorothy Gerber and Ruth Hovrud.
