Wetterer of Wood River, Donald Wetterer of Cairo, Paul G. and Deanna Wetterer of Grand Bay, Ala.; daughters and sons-in-law, Liane and Bill Davis of East Norwich, N.Y., Janet K. Wright of Liberty, S.C., Mary and Wayne Stoltenberg, Ruth Anne and Jerry Brandt, all of Grand Island and Susan J. Brewer of Katy, Texas; 22 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Elton Wortman of Wood River. Bill grew up and received his education, graduating from Wood River High School with the class of 1941. He was united in marriage to Billy McCright on Oct. 20, 1945, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wood River. The couple lived on the family farm north of Wood River where he farmed and the couple raised their family. Bill was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wood River. His hobbies included reading, hunting, fishing, trapping and doing puzzles. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Brenda Coakley. Burial was in the St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Wood River, NE. Published in The Grand Island Independent on June 30, 2011
