Description	:	William C. Chamberlin was born in Beaver Dam, Wis, Sept. 17, 1857. He came with his parents to Kansas in 1866 and settled on a farm near Ridgeway. At an early age he began farming for himself and helped break the virgin soil on the farm near 0verbrook where lived for many years. He was united in marriage to Hattie Ellis of Afton, Iowa, in 1884. To 'this union were born five sons. Walter died when about six months old. The surviving children are Fred Chamberlin, Topeka; Frank Chamberlin, Carbondale; Dr. John Chamberlin, Denver; and Ralph Chamberlin, of Casco,... Read More	William C. He is survived also by one sister, Dr. Maude Chamberlin, Tacoma, Wash.; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In 1915 the Chamberlins retired from the farm and came to live in Overbrook. Their home was always a place of friendliness and hospitality., Mr. Chamberlin was a friendly man and enjoyed visiting with the many people who came to his home.
