Description	:	William C. Craig, 86, of Shively, died in a local hospital early Monday morning. Born in Liverpool, England, November 16, 1874, he came to the United States at the age of eight, and had resided in Humboldt County since 1900. He had been interested in ranching in the Bull Creek area and was a grocer for 16 years at the old Park Grocery store for 15 years, retiring 18 years ago. Craig, 86, of Shively, died in a local hospital early Monday morning. Born in Liverpool, England, November 16, 1874, he came to the United States at the age of eight, and had resided in Humboldt County since 1900. He had been interested in ranching in the Bull Creek area and was a grocer for 16 years at the old Park Grocery store for 15 years, retiring 18 years ago. He had been a stamp collector and was a member of the Philatelic Society of Ukiah and the national organization of the same group. He has the husband of the late Nanny Craig and is survived by daughters, Mrs. Leroy Forbes, Crescent City, Mrs. Darrell Butts, Redway, and Mrs. Lora Morris, Shively; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was also the father of the late William Harvey Craig. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Pierce Mortuary with the Rev. Gregory S. Morony officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
